Overall Purpose of Job
The Network Engineer will focus in supporting Corporate Juniper network architecture as well as Ubiquiti WIFI.

The engineer is involved in implementing and providing technical support for networking technologies such as LAN, WAN, as well as users' internet applications. A detailed understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP and understand how it operates on Juniper’s router, switch and firewall is a must.

The engineer will provide a high-availability network structure to withstand the online and on-site IT happenings of users. This role often combines with other roles, such as system network architects or systems security engineers, and work within the company.

The engineer facilitates user networking services both on-site or in the field (VPN) by careful documentation of best practices and network topologies.

The engineer will also support mission-critical firewall services, thereby helping to prevent network issues before they arise.

As the telecom industry continues to evolve so has SD-WAN topologies. You will support this emerging and increasingly popular network topology as it scales well to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities
The role includes analysis, design, configuration, and fixing issues with the network structure or application modules. The role of a network engineer is to make sure that communications function through the network is uninterrupted and that the network's performance meets the necessary requirements. 

The position includes the following essential job responsibilities:
  • Maintain corporate network documentation, such as topology diagrams, circuit/equipment inventories and configuration reports
  • Manage change control within corporate environments as needed
  • Provide day-to-day support, proactive management and monitoring of corporate networks and security environments
  • Modify tool configurations as necessary to implement enhancements, resolve production problems or improve operating efficiency.
  • Identify and recommend designs that maximize workflow
  • Provide Root Cause Analysis and offer solutions to prevent future network outage incidents
  • Configure effective routing policies and procedures and reconfigure policies to ensure the best performance
  • Identify and suggest network designs that will enable consistent network workflow
  • Create customized network management tools to evaluate, monitor and report network statistics
  • Use network diagnostic tools as per Juniper product requirements
  • Setup network security protocols to prevent malware and other security threats

Job Requirements
  • Candidates must possess a relevant degree in computer science, IT or a related discipline.
  • Certifications such as the Juniper JNCIS, JNCIP, and JNCIA or Cisco CCNP, CCNA and CCDA will demonstrate a thorough technical knowledge to prospective employers.
  • Considerable network engineering understanding with exposure to Juniper & Cisco routing/switching
  • Experience in network management & monitoring systems such as PRTG, Solarwinds etc .
  • Experience in formal network test plan and configuration using Wireshark, IP Flow, etc
  • Experience in network security (firewalls and IDS) design and implementation.
  • An understanding of the technology behind a switched architecture and its workings (DNS, DHCP, Security, IP Switching/Routing, HTTP, VPN, etc.)
  • Substantial network design experience: include writing and updating high & low-level design documentation.
  • The following experiences would be beneficial:
    • Windows Server
    • Other systems including VMware, ESXi Server, Linux(SUSE/RedHat)
    • Working knowledge of various VMware tools 
    • Working knowledge of SAN Technologies
