Prior to joining Epsilon, Carl worked in his own Consultancy company (Hadaara Consulting) after having held numerous Senior Executive positions in Verizon, MCI, WorldCom Global One and IBM, having started his career in the legal profession working for Ashurst, Morris, Crisp & Co.

  • Akio Sugeno, VP of Internet Engineering, Operations & Business Development at Telehouse America

Akio Sugeno Bio

Akio Sugeno has been with Telehouse America since 1989. 

He is the founder of the NYIIX and LAIIX, major Internet Exchange points in the US market. 
In his current role, Mr Sugeno is charged with five major responsibilities: Network Engineering, Information Security, NYIIX/LAIIX, software development including AI, and overall business development. 

Since 2011, he has been serving as an advisory board member of an FBI's technical conference (International Conference on Cyber Security) and received a certificate from the then director of FBI for his long-time contribution. His paper on peering was published from Fordham University Press in  2013.

Nigel Bio

Nigel joined Aqua Comms in October 2016, having previously provided consultancy services to global telecoms companies through SIN Media Limited, a business he established in 2008 to capitalise on his experience of more than 25 years of senior technical, operational and executive roles in the global telecommunications industry. Nigel also served as Vice-Chairman of the joint United Nations agencies task force that looked at providing disaster relief and climate information from the global web of undersea cables.
