Senior Project Manager (UK)

Overall Purpose of Job
Project design, planning and successful day to day management of multiple technology projects. Includes stakeholder engagement, effective governance of deliverables and costs. Working with multiple Epsilon SME’s, Managers and senior stakeholders this new role demands a confident experienced individual that is motivated by successful delivery. Effective communications is another critical requirement ideally with a background and track record in the telecommunication sector.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed design, deliverables and planning.
  • Task delegation, management of relevant internal and external technical teams/people.
  • Regular and effective project communications (Progress, updates, reports etc.).
  • Risk management awareness and governance.
  • Cost control in line with relevant project budget & or aspiration.
  • Senior management updates & or intra-departmental engagement/input.
  • Responsibility for ALL projects in this area (1 direct report).
  • Direct coordination of internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful and timely execution of projects.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation is managed effectively.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors where needed.
  • Where required, deliver a project management program, encompassing all the details of a project to the team members.
  • Responsibility to set realistic and practical goals for the project; he/she should also develop appropriate strategies for achieving these goals.
  • Provision of coaching and guidance to the team members about every aspect of the project so that the team members can understand their tasks fully and act on them efficiently.
  • Identify all the internal and external resources whether financial or human resources required for successful delivery of project.
  • A senior project manager should also keep an eye of latest strategies, tools and terminologies used in project management worldwide so that he/she may also make adopt them to increase productivity.
  • Develop and execute an efficient internal communication strategy for ensuring communication with all levels of management across the team & wider group.
  • Development of required tools, processes and techniques for disturbing tasks according to the skills of every team member and also to evaluate the performance of all team members.
  • Build, implement or socialize the best practices for performing all the tasks.

Job Requirements
  • Proven working experience and successful track record in technical project delivery and management within the telecommunications sector.
  • Good technology background and understanding, ideally in Telecoms .
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
  • Strong and effective organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills .
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office & or other project management tools .
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus or equivalent .
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience .
