Overall Purpose of Job 
The incumbent is responsible for the provisioning of Ethernet, Internet Protocol (IP) and Synchronous Digital Hierarchy(SDH) related services and ensures circuits are built in accordance with the highest standards. The individual will require to have a full understanding of the network to deliver the service in the most efficient manner while supporting other important functions such as capacity check approval, service cancellation, and cascading the knowledge to other team members.

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage IP/Ethernet/Voice provisioning tickets
  • Target to meet 100% provisioning completion of Ethernet / IP / SDH orders 
  • Work with Provisioning Engineers globally to cover the orders of all regions 
  • Update provision records and database maintenance 
  • Service Cancellation for Ethernet / IP / SDH
  • Achieve earlier provisioning lead time 
  • Ensure provisioning process is followed accordingly by using the best network routes available 
  • Provisioning according to the network planning and guidance provided 
  • Escalate issues affecting the provisioning of orders 
  • Provide positions/denmarks tp service delivery management (SDM) within 24hrs of assignment opening
2. Support
  • Provide assistance to Field Teams for Ethernet / IP / SDH service testing and implementation
  • Able to deliver urgent/expedite task within the given timeline
  • Cross-train team members on Ethernet / IP / SDH Provisioning 

3. Capacity support & Capacity Reporting 
  • Ethernet / IP / SDH Capacity monitoring 
  • Approve capacity request for Ethernet / IP / SDH within 48hrs of request made
  • Support pre-sales and solutions team for capacity request  

4. Communication 
  • Liaise with Planning, Service Delivery, Pre-sales/Solution and supplier's teams 
  • Maintaining effective communication and respond to Service Management Centre (SMC) queries 
  • Provide inputs to improve the existing process that will benefit the team and company in general 

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science 
  • More than 5 years of experience in network architecture and technology planning for SDH, Ethernet and/or Internet Protocol (IP) networks in carrier and enterprise service provider environment. 
  • Experience in control Switch, Media Gateways, SIP, MGCP/H.248, Voice Compression/Decompression, SIGTRAN (M2PA/M3UA), SS7 Signaling Session Border Controllers (SBCs), VPN/IPSEC, Dynamic routing protocols BGP, OSPF.
  • Good understanding of L2 network and services based on MEF standards is highly desirable (ELINE, ELAN, E-TREE, IEEE 801.1Q, QinQ, MEN / CE Y.1731, GVRP, STP, ERPS).
  • Good 5. Good understanding of the design methodologies and protocols used by service providers to build converged IP networks including IS-IS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, L2/L3 VPN, TDM Traffic Engineering, IPSec +GRE.
  • Cisco CCNP and MEF CECP certificate would be an added advantage.
  • Ability to learn new technologies, troubleshoot Internet Protocol (IP) and Ethernet services/networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to assimilate, analyse and correlate data from various network monitoring system, application and security devices, logs and alerts. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal team members 
Overall Purpose of Job 
The incumbent is responsible for responding promptly to all customer fault feedbacks/queries and taking appropriate actions to follow up closely with customers till trouble ticket is closed, therefore maintaining high-quality service standards for the Company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer fault feedbacks/queries as first point of contact for the Company, providing excellent customer service and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers with testing and troubleshooting faults, coordinating maintenance activities and facilities’ access, providing test results and network records etc.
  • Liaise with external vendors on complex issues and ensure closure with customers.
  • Monitor system alarms and take prompt actions to investigate the cause and maintain records of actions taken.
  • Monitor datacentre CCTV regularly and report unusual activities immediately.
  • Monitor datacentre alarms regularly and report any system/power failures immediately.
  • Conduct clear/proper handover of outstanding jobs to staff on next shift.

Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant discipline with at least 3 years of experience in providing operational support in Telecommunications industry.
  • Experience in similar support and shift environment within telecommunications industry will be advantageous.
  • Able to work 12-hour shifts.
  • Possess experience and understanding of the following systems/networks/technologies as listed will be highly desirable:
    • DWDM, optical layer, L2 and L3 networks and services based on MEF standards (ELINE, ELAN, E-TREE, IEEE 801.1Q, QinQ, MEN / CE Y.1731, GVRP, STP, ERPS).
    • Control switches, Media Gateways, SIP, MGCP/H.248, Voice Compression/Decompression, SIGTRAN (M2PA/M3UA), SS7 Signalling, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), VPN/IPSEC, Dynamic routing protocols BGP, OSPF.
  • Possess “can do” attitude and take actions promptly.
  • Able to multi-task and learn new technologies quickly.

Overall Purpose of Job 
The role of Capacity Management Engineer is to provide and publish reports based on actual available capacity to the organisation and forecast capacity trends to enable the engineering team to install capacity on time. The network is multi-vendor and multi-technology.

The capacity management team is also part of the customer ordering process and working with the technical sales team, service delivery team and provisioning team to ensure smooth implementation and Just-In-Time capacity and port availability. The main objective is to allocate appropriate ports for pending and incoming orders, and in case where capacity is needed this should be triggered to engineering to build.

The Capacity Management Engineer is also involved in network consolidation projects to provide forecasts of free rack space and power based on consolidation projects.

    • Switch fabric utilisation
    • Voice switch licenses usage

  • Analysing the collected data and notify Engineering if any upgrades are necessary
  • Provide trending forecasts of network capacity growth, port take-up, and SIP licenses.
  • Provide forecasts of rack space and power based on network consolidation programmes and upgrades required.
  • Allocate ports to provisioning
  • Reserve ports and capacity for high profile orders.
  • Uploading new ports to online ordering systems
  • Uploading new voice numbers to online ordering systems
  • Take part in internal planning and Engineering meetings

Job Requirements
  • Experience working with databases
  • Basic understanding of WDM, OTN, SDH, Ethernet, and MPLS with traffic Engineering
  • Basic understanding of SIP and Softswitch operations a plus, but not necessary.
  • Network operations experience from a NOC role or Migrations engineer role with a service provider
  • Good analytical skills

  • Ideally has a data scientist or software development background/education
