 Andreas Hipp is the CEO and co-founder of Epsilon Telecommunications. Andreas played a key role in the development of the business plan and the arrangement of funding for the company. He and his team managed to turn the Epsilon profitable within only two years from launch in a then still difficult and competitive environment. Epsilon is now nearly a £10 million company, with last year achieving a compound annual growth of 50.7 per cent.
Before setting up Epsilon, Andreas held senior sales and marketing management positions in various wholesale telecoms and manufacturing businesses including Dynegy, Enron, Storm Telecommunications and Tyco Electronics. Working and living in various countries as well as dealing with global telecom operators over the past 10 years has contributed significantly to his thorough understanding of international wholesale Voice and Data markets. |

Epsilon welcomes you to Global Hubs, the ‘Gateway to the Carrier World’; a new solution for integrated co-location, bandwidth connectivity, system integration and maintenance support.
Global Interconnect Markets increasingly demand highly available in-house services, large bandwidth volumes as well as quick turnaround. Ever increasing price pressures when rolling out international networks frequently means that dealing with multiple suppliers is a costly and cumbersome affair. Consequently this often leads to eroded margins, increased entry time into the market as well as laborious turn-up and maintenance cycles. Global Hubs tackles these challenges head on from a central platform, offering a perfect solution to the ever changing and demanding nature of the International Networking Community. Global Hubs supports the interconnect business of the international voice and data market by providing housing and co-location, installation and maintenance, system integration and seamless Global Bandwidth from a central source. As such, Global Hubs is poised to deliver a solution quickly, efficiently, economically and reliably.
Epsilon Global Hubs are brand new co-location facilities for Carriers whom are already well established on the Epsilon Connect platform, or for new entrants requiring technical facilities to extend connectivity into Europe, Asia and beyond. The spaces have state of the art plant and cooling facilities with a managed meet-me-room concept for redundant cable routing and easy traceability. The MMR is integrated with the Epsilon Network for seamless cross connects across the operating footprint with access to over 250 connected carriers from a single MMR port. The facilities are designed to support an average allocation of 2.5 kW per rack space and a maximum power dissipation of 3.5 kW.
Epsilon has taken traditional co-location one step further. We are now able to host and support our customer’s equipment whilst also delivering high volume network transport services to almost 50 key data centers across Europe, the US and Asia. Having skilled technical teams on the sites, we can provide network design, system integration and first line maintenance for customers who wish or need to outsource these activities to a reliable partner. The facilities are fully supported 24/7 to ensure high availability, on demand delivery and dedicated customer care.
Epsilon understands the importance of Carrier neutrality and has an ‘open connectivity policy’ in Global Hubs. There are numerous major network operators who have equipment co-located or fiber connectivity in the meet-me-rooms of each facility and customers can simply interconnect with any of them.

Currently our Network extends to almost 50 Carrier neutral Data Centres across Western Europe, America and Asia. In these Points of Presence we currently service around 250 International Carriers and have access to well over 1000 operators. Epsilon operates a multivendor and best of breed strategy for the supply of equipment and underlying infrastructure, having over 200 network elements currently deployed and under management.
EPSILON GLOBAL HUBS is a new approach to co-location and connectivity in Singapore, London and Hong Kong, being ‘The Gateway to the Carrier World’. We operate state of the art facilities with a global network reach and a wealth of maintenance services to choose from.
EPSILON CONNECT is a suite of products for voice and data connectivity as well as switching and conversion solutions. EPSILON TDM/VOIP CONNECT is the largest Global ‘Meet-Me-Room’ for Voice Carriers, offering seamless Intra and Inter Building transmission connectivity for TDM (E1) and VoIP (Ethernet, IP-VPN) switching platforms, with more than 250 connected Global Voice Carriers. EPSILON VOICE CONNECT is an Integrated switching solution in Frankfurt and London to bridge the technology gap between the TDM and IP world. This provides highly reliable and flexible media and protocol conversion as well as switch partition services.
EPSILON DATA CONNECT offers high order on-net connectivity and leased transmission multiplexing facilities for Carriers who want to set up a low cost point of presence without the capital expenditure.
EPSILON ENTERPRISE CONNECT provides tailored SDH, Ethernet and MPLS IP-VPN connectivity solutions for operators requiring a strong partner to supply seamless quality leased line services to support their customers abroad in a highly reliable and efficient manner. This service offers long-haul and local access circuits to almost any Enterprise location around the world.
EPSILON SOLUTIONS offers design and consultancy services for network and Data Centre implementation along with reliable Installation and Commissioning, First Line Maintenance, Remote Hands and other System Integration Services. EPSILON VOICE provides Western European geographic and non-geographic voice access services such as 0800xxxx. Epsilon currently delivers more than ten million access minutes a month for its customer base from 14 European countries. |
